Do you hold a valid building contractor licence?

Yes, we are compliant with all the laws governing home builders in NSW & we are also an approved builder and member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA). See www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au and follow the links to license check.

What insurances do you have in place?

We are covered by all the necessary insurances required by the Home Building Act. This includes all your standard public liability insurances, workers compensation and construction risk insurances.

How much deposit do I need?

The amount of money we collect as a deposit depends on the scope of your project – please get in touch with us for more information about how much of a deposit we will need for your specific build. As a general guide as per the Home Building Act 1989. As at January 2015 it is 5% for contracts over $20k and 10% for contracts under $20k. Our current understanding at this time is that during the middle of 2015 the legislation is due to change to all deposits being a flat 10% of all contracts so please keep that in mind if this is applicable to your situation.

Do you have a quality control policy?

Yes. Over the years we have created our quality control policy based on situations we have run into on actual jobs for clients. Thanks to our experience, we can often see issues with quality coming before they actually occur. We have our own internal quality checking system in place. We believe constant interaction and communication with our clients is the key to ensure we prevent any issues arising.

Are you compliant with all occupational and health requirements, and what systems do you have in place to be compliant with OHS?

We are fully compliant with all OHS regulations as set by Work Health Safety (WHS). Every job over $250k has it's own specific WHS management plan as developed by the team at McMahon Structural in conjunction with an independent qualified HIA (Housing Industry Association) safety professional.

Do you have references and examples of your previous projects?

Yes! We are happy and proud to have the opportunity to show you all kinds of different projects we have worked on in the past. Just get in touch and let us know what kind of work you’d like to see an example of and we can run you through our projects.

After signing the contract is there room for change or improvement?

Absolutely! We believe in being absolutely flexible and " open minded". We are available 7 days a week for consultation in whatever medium suits you best. Face to face, job site meetings, phone, text, email, smoke signals, you name it!
